Trebuchet Launch Contest – Lake Worth Beach

Have lots of fun at the first annual Trebuchet Contest at Harold Grimes Memorial Park in Lake Worth. A trebuchet is a type of catapult that uses a powerful siege engine, which works by counter-balancing weights to generate propulsion for a swinging arm used to launch a projectile in a sling. The contest has two age groups: 12 and under, and 13 and over.

Materials needed to build your trebuchet is up to participants. Children must be accompanied by an adult and for safety’s sake, rules and regulations listed on the website.
