The way of Taiko: The Heartbeat of Japan - Delray Beach

This traditional drum workshop at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach introduces participants to the history and practice of taiko drumming. Participants are taught how to understand sounds and movements, i.e., how to connect nature and the meaning of body movement. They will become familiar with the way of taiko and its drumming techniques. Children under 14 must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. The parent/guardian is welcome to participate by enrolling in the workshop alongside their child. The workshop will be held twice: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m.
