The Japanese Star Festival – Wellington

Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival, means “evening of the seventh.” It is celebrated by writing wishes on colorful strips of paper called tanzaku and attaching them to bamboo branches in the hope they come true.
You can visit any of the following locations during regular business hours to hang your wishes on the bamboo branches: Village Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Blvd.; Village Park, 11700 Pierson Rd.; or the Wellington Community Center, 12150 Forest Hill Blvd.
