Hatchling Discovery at Loggerhead Marinelife Center – Juno Beach
Aug 1, 2024 | 06:30 PM
After an introduction to the sea turtle nesting and hatching process at Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, guests may have the extraordinary opportunity to witness a live nest excavation and create their own data sheets to take home as a memento. With permission from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, a permitted staff member will lead guests down onto Juno, Jupiter or Tequesta beaches to discuss the nesting and hatching processes of sea turtles. If a nest is located, guests will witness our trained staff excavate a sea turtle nest. There is no way to predict if there will be a nest. If no next is discovered, guests will enjoy a beach ecology talk to learn about the nesting and hatchling processes of sea turtles. This program takes place on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, starting August 1, 2024 until August 31, 2024 and the event lasts approximately one and one-half hours. Reservations required. $24 per person.
