Celebrate Tanabata – Wellington

Jul 3, 2025 | 08:00 AM
Tanabata is celebrated by writing wishes on pieces of colorful paper, called Tanzaku, and attaching them to bamboo branches or "Wish Trees" in the hopes the wishes come true. On July 1st through 7th, visit one of the displays in Wellington to write your wish and hang it from a "Wish Tree.” Wish trees are at: the Village Hall, 12300 Forest Hill Blvd.; the Village Park, 11700 Pierson Rd.; or the Wellington Community Center. Please note — Village Hall and the Wellington Community Center will be closed for Independence Day.
