Birding for Beginners – Boynton Beach

Learn how to identify birds and use binoculars at this event for aspiring birders at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Preserve in Boynton Beach. Meet at the Visitor Center to enjoy a short presentation and binocular boot camp. Then head out into the field to practice identification skills. Birders may bring their own binoculars or borrow some from us. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Check the weather conditions and dress appropriately (this might include a hat, sunglasses, long sleeves, long pants, and walking shoes). Bringing plenty of water and sunscreen. Insect repellent is recommended. Programs are free with a valid entrance pass. Fees are $10 per car for a one-day pass, but check the website for varying costs.
