A Turtley Awesome August - Delray Beach

During all of August, Sandoway Discovery Center in Delray Beach is proud to celebrate the magic of sea turtle nesting season with “Turtley Awesome August.” This is a month-long series of engaging, educational programs and community events. On 8/8 at 12 p.m.: "Sea Turtle Cycles," an ideal show for preschoolers will be playing. Later that day at 1:30 p.m., junior scientists at the Center will excavate model nests, build habitat replicas and learn about the importance gopher turtles play in Florida's ecosystem. Other fun experiences include shark and sting ray feedings! Online registration for programs is required. General admission: $12 per child/$10 per adult; members are $2 per child and free for adults.
