Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a free program designed to prepare 4-year-old children for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. VPK is available to all 4 year olds born on or before September 1 who reside in Florida, regardless of family income. Four-year-old children with birthdays from February 2 through September 1 are eligible to enroll in VPK that year, or postpone it to the next. Children participating in VPK receive 540 instructional hours when participating in a School-Year program and each class is limited to 20 students. Families can register online or in person via the the Early Learning Coalition's self-service kiosks within our community-based locations in Riviera Beach, Palm Springs, and/or Belle Glade.

This is a great opportunity for 4-year-olds (or 5-year-olds, if they have not already registered/began attending Kindergarten) to get ready academically, socially and emotionally for kindergarten. And it's FREE! Visit the ELC’s website for a list of required documents to complete your application today.
